While most FirstCar titles target young people at the beginning of their driving careers, DriveOn is aimed at those closer to the opposite end of their time on four wheels.
Published annually, DriveOn is a 52-page A5 magazine, covering the topics that really matter to senior drivers. From driving licence renewals at 70 to insurance to child seats and the Motability scheme, the magazine is full of useful advice delivered in a warm and friendly tone.
Road safety messages are woven throughout the magazine, with a particular focus on mature driver assessments. The intention is to encourage capable drivers to improve and to build their confidence, while helping others make the difficult decision to cut back on driving or even stop completely if appropriate. DriveOn shows older motorists that there are other ways to stay mobile and independent at the end of their driving careers.
Some 75,000 copies are printed each year. DriveOn is diversely distributed to reach its readers, through older driver workshops, GP surgeries, opticians, golf clubs, bowling greens and garden centres.
